In this project, I worked on an ambitious journey to create a photo-realistic digital avatar - "a metahuman" of my friend Hitika using 3d scanning, modeling, sculpting, and real-time rendering techniques.

While this project was incredibly rewarding, it also presented numerous challenges. Achieving a level of realism that truly captures the essence of a person's likeness is no easy feat. Through countless iterations and attention to detail, I learned the importance of perseverance, patience, and a deep understanding of the tools and techniques available.

1. 3D Scanning and Model Preparation - I began by capturing a series of photographs of Hitika using a Polycam 3D scanner, which allowed me to create an initial rough 3D model of her face and head. This model was then exported to Blender, where I refined and optimized the face structure, excluding the hair for a cleaner result.
